Getting Started

Babies grow up to fast. In fact, our darling baby Jada is about to become a big sister. It wasn't long ago that our 'big girl' was just a baby herself:

This doesn't even look like Jada to me, yet I still remember her laying in her bassinet smiling for the first time. Mommy and Daddy are hovering over her with a camera and in a flash we capture this picture. In the same flash, 3 years speed by and our little baby is no longer a baby; but instead, she is a head-strong smart 3 1/2 year old singing the Chicago soundtrack in the backseat!

Jennie and I will be maintaining this blog in an effort to slow the hands of time, or at least capture a moment of it's rapid pace. From here, we will be able to update our families and friends on the 'small' things in life. The things that make us laugh as well as the things that make us think.

Story of the day:

Part 1 - Several months ago I took Jada to see Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was a cute movie, but the one thing Jada took away from the movie was the fact the chipmunks say "bow-chica-wow-wow."

Part 2 - Jennie and I took Jada to see Madagascar 2 at the theater and the one thing she took away from the movie was the song "I like to move it, move it. We like to... MOVE IT"

Part 3 - Holly and Susan took Jada to see Bolt.

Culmination - On the way home one day Jada looks at Jennie and I with a serious face and say "When I go to the movies again with Holly, I'm going to say BOW-CHICA-WOOOOWW WOW I LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT. WE LIKE TO ............................................................................. MOVE IT!"

It was very cute and unexpected.
